Catalyst in polymer(polyethylene)
XR109 activated alumina for polyethylene purification is as a filtration media in polyethylene production. In this process, the slurry co-catalyst is filtered out of the polyethylene and trapped in the pores of the alumina bead. The catalyst removal step is done through adsorption beds of XR109 activated alumina balls. This type of activated alumina is defined as HDPE purification.
