What are the important indicators of pseudo-boehmite?
The content of alumina in pseudo-boehmite is generally about 65%-70%, and it must be determined after firing. Even the same type of pseudo-boehmite, due to the different production process or storage time, the alumina content after roasting will be different.
Pseudo-boehmite has a concept of dry basis. Dry basis refers to the moisture in the wet solid based on the unit mass of anhydrous solid, which means that the mass remaining after roasting accounts for the percentage of the mass before roasting. Generally speaking, pseudo-boehmite has this indicator when it leaves the factory. As pseudo-boehmite is very absorbent, its dry basis will become smaller and smaller when stored in a humid environment for a long time.
Many pseudo-boehmite contain SiO2 or TiO2, which will also affect the alumina content. If you just want to know the dry basis content, you can measure it before using it. If you want to know the alumina content, you can use XRF or the method provided by HG/T3927-2007 for detection.
